Residential project sometimes it's best to start by stating the obvious. This incredible shaker style kitchen has curves! curved doors, drawers, worktops, carcass, absolutely everything is curved. To make matters more interesting, it is also inframe. The result is a truly stunning and technically challenging piece of work. When working with curves, there is zero room for error. A few millimetres out at one end will result in a significant gap at the other end, luckily we relish a challenge and are incredibly proud of what we have designed, manufactured and installed the concave main section finished in farrow & ball cornforth white inside and out features multiple external and internal drawers, a bin, dishwasher and two ovens.
At worktop express® we have a specialist in-house team of worktop fabrication experts, who create a number of customised worktops every single day. These worktops may feature basic cut-outs so that they fit easily into a customer’s kitchen; or they may have undergone a range of complicated alterations – there is no job too big or too small for our team! using our high-end cnc machinery, creating worktops to suit curved kitchen units is not an unusual task; the machine can be programmed to create very precise cuts that need only a little hand-finishing to create a high-quality finish. You can submit your worktop designs using our online bespoke worktop tool , which caters for radius corners, ellipse ends and a range of other adjustments but does not allow for complicated curved cut outs.
Normally, yes. Because of the additional craftsmanship required, curved kitchens can be slightly more expensive than regular versions. However, if they are positioned at the end of the central kitchen range or an island, they can be more discreetly added at a reduced cost.

We were commissioned to create a serene, natural and contemporary kitchen in this new-build house. The building had a creative angular layout, so our clients were keen to introduce organic curved forms as a natural antithesis to the strong geometry of the architecture. In such a beautifully open space, we knew we had to master some clandestine storage and an effective layout to enable a good flow around the space.
